December Thirty-First, round-up of the year

Location: Still the same
Mood: Calm and happy
Just did: Calmed down

Ahh, the silence now. Nothing but my 290-page Word document and my blog post.
Okay, my 296-page Word document. OTDOTS/Epic Thing is fast approaching 300 A4 pages with Verdana font size 10. And it just passed 115k words!

*confetti rains on this person*

Thank you very much.

Al-righty, it's currently 10.16 pm, about 1.75 hours to 2010! I'm going to summarise the year here, and hopefully I sum up everything. I'm going to refer to blog posts, of course...

1st Quarter:
Hello, 310! I am glad to be in the same class as AF, Clarisse and Yan Ping!
I fail at the fanfic challenge. Third, to be exact. Out of 8. I feel sad. Never mind...
Avatar (the TV series) finishes! AWESOMENESS!!
Bach's Fugues. Zzz.
The whole school forgets "Pass It On" verse two on Founder's Day. Nananananana.
Level 38 on Maple!! I meet Magatia, and absolutely ADORE it.
OTDOTS is 111 pages long.
YME begins. And I love it.
Creation of the 100 question meme series.
AMERICAN IDOL! Adam Lambert! Allison Iraheta!!

2nd Quarter:
Thumbdrive crash. Have to retype 5 pages of OTDOTS.
Practice duet with Yan Ping!! Petite Suite: Ballet <3
I express my wish to please Sobriquet Nightmare with my writing.
Kris Allen wins. Blearghh
Michael Jackson, RIP. We remember you. I certainly do, as does the world. You have amazing music, and we dearly miss you. Even a once-ignorant person like me. Phone rings during MEP practical. Ohh. So sorry, Yan Ping. Thanks Moira. Level 41 on Maple.
SUSAN BOYLE!

3rd Quarter:
OTDOTS is 140 pages long.
More love for LA PROCESION DEL ROCIO, THE BEST PIECE OF MUSIC IN THE WORLD!!!
I express belief that I am going to fail my piano exam.
UP!!!!! UP, the first movie to make me cry through half of it! I love Carl and Kevin (who is female)!
OTDOTS chapter 6 is done! 174 pages!
I get full marks for SS speech and 28/30 for my English essay :D:D:D:D

4th Quarter:

MORE love for LA PROCESION DEL ROCIO!!
Piano exam score: 140/150!!!
OTDOTS is 216 pages long.
I do well for my EYAs!!
OTDOTS is 241 pages long. I break the 100k word barrier too!
OTDOTS is 243 pages long.
OTDOTS is 253 pages long.
Adam Lambert! Mika! Lady Gaga! All their albums are LOVE.
AVATAR (the movie series) blows my mind. Beautiful. The most beautiful action-sci-fi movie I've watched before, EVER.
I find out that UP was the top grossing movie in Singapore this year!!!! And AVATAR was 3rd. Ain't that awesome now.
FIREFLIES IS NUMBER 5, BEST RESULT FOR DEBUT SINGLE THIS YEAR!! I am in love.

And so, here we are.

I really think this year was long, longer than most. So much happened, so much changed. I'll have to specially mention that I got to know my FanFiction friends a lot better, as the most significant change. Some of you, I actually identify with, and helped me through a lot. I'm referring to you, Ben and Wen Xuan! Hi :D if you ever read this!

And I met the Artemis Fowl series this year, of course. Now I have to wait for book 5 and 6. AND 7!!! I finished the Percy Jackson series, which blew me up. WHOOO!! And I FINALLY GOT WALL-E ON VCD! No DVD, but it cost RM40 less.

We got UP too. (HAHAHAHA! Got up after falling down?) And I'm too scared to watch, because I don't want to cry again.

Well, it was a great, great year. My writing improved beyond my projections (compare my two furthest fanfics: A Change I Never Wanted vs. Tears of a Murderess. Or try Iron Shadows/Paper Wings, which got more praise...) And I scored impossibly higher than last year overall in school!

Okay, so that's it for this year.

To post now, or to post in 2010? That is the...
ahh, screw that.
I think I'll do it a minute before. YEAH. Okay, maybe more than a minute. It's 11.38pm now. Close enough. The countdown is about to start.

So here's Tessa, signing off for the last time this year :P
KA-CHOW!

18.11.09

I couldn't help but say this.

Location: My laptop, in front of the PC (so I can plug the internet wire in)
Mood: Tired but happy
Just did: Typed MORE of Epic Thing

...which is now 253 pages long. And chapter 7 is almost done! I'm so glad it's almost there. And I'm admittedly liking this chapter a lot. I think it could be the best I've ever written.

It'll be done in about 1-2 weeks' time. I really hope I can live up to expectations.

8.11.09

YO

Location: My laptop, dining table
Mood: bothered (by my hair)
Just did: Sent a reminder to Sarah and Josephine
Listening to: The Poet and the Pendulum by Nightwish (new in my library!)

Yeah. Just a random post because I'm bored. I've been spending the entire afternoon listening to various music, from Debussy to Nightwish (as seen above). When I say "various", I mean at both ends of the bar. (^^^ Impressionist to Heavy Metal :D) And funny thing is, both genres are equally nice, to me!

OH MY OH MY THE POET AND THE PENDULUM IS REALLY REALLY NICE!!!!! It sounds like something out of a movie!!

This IS like it's out of a movie. It's like a series of songs of different feels--and they're repeating the first song, right at the end. That's really cool!

BTW Epic Thing is at 243 pages. Quick page growth in progress :D

Okay, I think I'll go back to enjoying The Poet and the Pendulum. It's 14 minutes long!

5.11.09

2009 is now a stub.

Location: My laptop, dining table
Mood: Happy!
Just did: Checked my email
Listening to: Wherever You Are by Wizet <3

I'm currently doing a popularity list of MapleStory background music--and it's going very nicely. Grandmaster's Gauntlet is the most popular, and it is awesome. But I think some others are better.

Why is Water Way the least popular???

Okay, anyway--today is the official fourth last day of school! And I have $15 to last me the rest of the year :D

Netball Carnival killed my muscles. Now I can't go anywhere without them complaining D:

But at least my banner won second prize! I got three whole packets of Yupi stuff. We're sharing it at the class party tomorrow.

Speaking of which! Yes, the school year is ending! It's like a candle at its last few cm of wax. Hence the post title.

Have I ever mentioned how awesome the WALL-E soundtrack is? It IS!!!!! Especially the piece called "Eve"!!!! AWWWWW wonderful~~~

Okay I will go now. Epic Thing is on page 241!!! It recently broke the 100k word barrier. OH YEAHH

20.10.09

The scores, what else?

Location: My laptop at home
Mood: Okay
Just did: Scratched a mosquito bite (IDIOT DIPTERA!!!)

My sister is watching our recorded Avatar again. Zuko is shouting again.

Here we are then.
History: the usual. 24/40
SS: 11/15. GOOD (by my standards)!
English: 32/50, a lifetime personal best (no kidding)!
MEP Harmony: 26.5/40. Oops.
MEP Ethnic: 28/30 WOOHOO
MEP History: 35.5/40 YEAHHHH
MEP Practicals: 1st piece - 42/50; 2nd piece - 45/50. (I predicted 45/50 and 43/50 respectively. Flipped around, it seems!)

Epic Thing is on page 219! And I just got my 71st review :D
I really should stop asking people to review. Being this successful is a sign that I've been trying too hard.

Bye :D

11.10.09

Of the Dragon, of the Stars!

Location: my laptop at home
Mood: sweaty (is that a mood) and in need of a toilet!
Just did: typed a bit of abovementioned story

EPIC THING! We are currently on page 216. Feels like it can only get better from here! :D

I know there's Physics and Chinese tomorrow. And I have done absolutely ZERO revision for Chinese. At least I did some Physics studying. Hope I can remember what I learnt tomorrow...

Just felt like doing this update. Need to find that toilet now. Bye!

4.10.09

LA PROCESION DEL ROCIO!!!

Must say it again must say it again must say it again

LA PROCESION DEL ROCIO is a masterwork by a pure genius, and no talent like him will ever walk the world again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It brings me closer to heaven every time I hear it. Can't explain; really can't! It's too amazing for words ><

It rose!!!!!!

One of the best days in the world

Location: My laptop :D
Mood: Happy of course~
Just did: Proofread "Symphony, Synchrony" AGAIN

Yes, I changed the title of Sands of Time. Now it's called "Symphony, Synchrony: The Sands of Time". And I feel like putting my summary here, for fun :D

//Symphony: sound in harmony. Synchrony: in the same rhythm.// Because even an eternally forsaken love can be recaptured, a lost heartbeat returned to time. Another Alishar legend, for CrapPishh’s FF challenge.

Yesss...I hope this can get second at most. HOPE. But I'm not too sure other people will like it. But that's fine--I like it, and I think that's good enough, in this case.

And back to topic.
I GOT FULL MARKS FOR THE SS SPEECH!!!!!!!!!!
I GOT 28/30 FOR ENGLISH ESSAY *FOAMS*

Oh MAN, I wasn't expecting that! On the downside, I failed my Physics practical--but who cares man. I'm utterly happy about these scores :D:D:D

And today was MEP practicals. Went well! Our duet was less screwed than last time--and last time was pretty good already :D Predictions: 1st piece 45, 2nd piece 43

Man, actually, those predictions are...high. Hope I actually manage it...

Yay, I have a story to edit now. Can't wait for YME tomorrow! :D

Mood: Hurried!!!

Just did: Read my blog

YESS this laptop is now mine, with my password and my wallpaper and all!! :D

Back to topic. Of the Dragon, of the Stars chapter 6 complete. Yesterday. I think I just wrote my best chapter so far! I don't know, really--I just have a good feeling about it.

And 172 pages. YES. YES! I feel awesome :D Chapter 6 is the longest chapter so far. And the longest there will ever be, hopefully. I'm so happy about how far my story has come, since I began on that car trip in Penang! It's probably my most prided work so far, among all the creations of my entire lifetime :D

Okay, must get off now! Parents coming back and I must be off by then!!!

Yepps, that story again. It's just arrived at 85,000 words!! :D Chapter 6 is almost done. I will probably post it in the next two weeks :D:D:D

And yesss. This week. Probably the most revolutionary, beautiful, amazing week of my life. Why? Don't ask me to explain it. Everything just came together, this week. Every day was like a leaf crossing on a breeze. Just flew by into heaven, and somehow set me free from a prison I didn't even know existed.

Really good mood now--albeit sleepy. I have to break my horrible cycle of sleeping and waking up late :D

So will probably go for now. That's all, folks!

La Procesion del Rocio

Location: New laptop at home
Mood: Whew! Finished a badly-done Chinese speech!
Just did: Facebooked

Yes, have I ever told anyone at all about the greatness of this piece of music?

La Procesion del Rocio--the true meaning of joy. I don't know if words can actually bring out everything I felt while listening, right from the initial opening chord. Ahhhh! Well, the 25 cents I spent on it was totally worth it. I should have paid ten dollars for it.

Okay, I just felt the urge to do this--talk about the awesomeness of the best orchestral piece I have ever heard. I mean it! It's good enough to warrant a random post at the weirdest, most unrelated time :D

16.8.09

Hi, you are reading!

Location: New laptop
Mood: Lalala nothing
Just did: changed the desktop background :D

Hm, you know what? Only weird people read my blog. Yes, if you are reading this, it means that you are weird.

Chances are, you are the kind who obsesses over TV shows, games or book series, probably dozens. You probably tend to appreciate weird things that no one else even gets. Could be puns, melodic motifs in movie background music, elegance of formulae. Your MP3 player is stuffed up with a weirdly varied selection, and somehow you can remember exactly how you came across each and every of the three hundred songs there. You do weird things when you are bored, like write mathematical calculations or draw eyes on your arms. You also take pride in knowing and thinking certain things--"I tend to appreciate apocalyptic stories." "I think Beethoven got that chord there wrong." "Why is November not Nonember?"

Yes, that's you, isn't it? Come on, admit it. You are a weird person. That's why you just wasted a minute of your time reading that.

13.8.09

AWESOME

I finally found it OH YESSS

This is like the (second) most awesome orchestral piece in the universe. It's wild, vivid, beautiful, and best of all, NEVER boring. NEVER!! And it's relatively short!

Enjoy, for those who bothered to listen and watch :D

I'm like SO in love with this piece! But you've gotta hear the really high-quality recordings to really appreciate how GREAT this is...

10.8.09

I wish I had music, but all I have are words

My entry to RGS's Inkspiration. I hope they like it...

How I long to paint the world as they do!
Beethoven, Tchaikovsky, Debussy, Rachmaninov
How can it be that entire worlds unravel in my eyes
At the single brush of the flute’s soliloquy on my ear
Or the glorious fanfare of the orchestra’s tutti
Or the crystal ringing echo on the cold dark keys?
How can shifting regular wavelengths of varying amplitude
Recreate the shimmering reflections in Monet’s Water Lilies
Or the rattling rifles of the Russian Revolution
Or the delicate lace dance of the swans in Swan Lake
Or the whisper of pure liquid moonlight streaming through the windows?

It will never be within my grasp, this magic they work
Twelve notes divided by frequency spaces the twelfth root of two
In measures of three, four, seven, eight simple, compound, irregular
Rearranged into a one-page etude or a thirty-minute symphony
A soli, a diminished seventh in the upper registers
Passionate, fantastical, sparkling, blazing
Breaking the bounds of imagination—
How I wish I could shape sound into beauty, as they did!

I wish I had music,
But all I have are words.
And words limit me to only that much
A paradigm on paper made in ink
A million-strong divine vocabulary
Only showing, telling, implying by nuances—

Nothing, next to the mind-blowing dimensions
That the greatest composers wove
Upon the strings and reeds and keys
And burnt into the hearts of the world
With
Chains of beamed black circles
On five evenly-spaced lines

9.8.09

An in-between

Location: Old laptop
Mood: Um
Just did: proofread Sands of Time

Yup, that's my next story. And I think it has potential to be my best yet. Just wait for it, those of you who actually read.

Of the Dragon, of the Stars is on to its 140th page!!! I don't know how far it has gone since I last posted about it, but all I know is that it has grown a great deal. 140 pages! I never thought that it'd get that far. YAY

Alright, I was only posting for the sake of posting. Felt like it.

SIGH my sisters are now listening to this piece of BLAH called Poker Face. I must say that the video is cool (freakily cool), but the song is...ah. Like all pop songs. Catchy and weird and too techno for my liking.

Impressionist and early twentieth century is still my cup of tea. And the really good J-pop songs that make good use of the orchestra.

Okay, like I said. I was posting because this blog looks dead. So there. Wait for the next one. BYE!

Quote of the week: "P-p-p-f*** her face"~Poker Face lyrics, with a terrible mishear on the maker's part

17.6.09

GAH I'm ALIVE

Location: New laptop AT HOME :D
Mood: Hungry
Just did: Proofread "Song of the Sea"

I have returned!

Same place as always--Tanjung Bunga, Penang. Let's see...it's humid, computer-less, and has a garden full of dead bamboos. And when I say full, I really mean FULL. As in, covered in dried bamboos from end to end.

But come on, who can hate having two dogs around? Except that one had TICKS, and I actually picked one up. I was completely not scared of it--then it bit my finger and latched on. THAT freaked me out.

(Well, in case you want to know what happened, I plucked it off and flushed it down the toilet wrapped in toilet paper.)

Hm. Every night was Movie Night. We watched about seven movies there, including Twilight (which I love now) and Slumdog Millionaire (which I positively ADORE). We also watched Monsters vs. Aliens in 3D at the cinema, and I must say that I hate wearing glasses AND 3D glasses at the same time.

Okay. Now for the things that have been delayed for more than a week. MEP CAMP WAS AWESOME!! Tiring, ache-inducing, with slightly disgusting food--but it was awesome. I mean it! Now I can't stop singing Oklahoma!! I even dreamt of us performing last night.

And last thing: ABSOLFANATIC IS LEVEL 41

WHOOOOOOOOOO OVER LVL 40!!!!!!!!!!

Okay, never mind that. Very happy, that's all.

And yup, as my last two words said: that's all. BYE!

25.5.09

this millennium

I see the pale stars blinking from between the leaves
Those brushing hands cradling the eyes of the deep-ocean sky
Blinking
Blinking
-
The trees are whispering like the showering droplets from the sky
Combing the air like gentle soft brushes, supplicant
Gazing on my dark self as they seek my assurance
My protection
-
The moonlight is caught in my eyes
Glimmering on the points of my fur like drops of ice
Midnight. The silence is to perfection around me
Save the silent singing of the arched branches
Upon the monumental mesas of ancient stone
-
I gaze to the sky, upon the highest point
And the stars seem to point towards the place I stand
I feel their gladness and sorrow, every emotion, for they feel
Indeed
-
My world’s beauty was sustained by one of them
A fallen being from the celestial spheres
One who used to sing in harmony with their perfect music
And then sank through the depths of the ocean above
To land among the broken fragments of heaven,
And the devastation of shaken wastelands
-
And breathed life into it all.
But once its partner-star had vanished from our sky
It fell into a sleep from which I thought it would never wake
It did, a millennium later.
And millennium after millennium
The smiling face never vanished, held in its safeguard of violet prisms
-
And each time, I would stand guard and wait
It is the instinct of our kind to guard the living
And for this was a star, it lived as well, and I took on the job
It was my father’s, his father’s, my every predecessor’s
It was now mine.
-
Its next rebirth was due again. And that year
I was careless. I allowed it to be stolen from me.
At the most important point in time, of all times
Among every of the years that had spun by, I had failed!
-
The sky is a gleaming dish of deep water
There is no end to what I see, no matter how far I have searched
They watch me, eyes that blink so irregularly, so scarcely
-
It fills my eyes, and I feel as if I might drown in it
Beneath the swishing treetops of the highest point
Passed on both sides, by the wind that rings the leaves like bells
-
Then the skies, the trees, the roots at my paws
They are crying out, calling in beseeching to their founder
Their saviour and their strength
As they do each time it awakens
-
It has come! In the distance, I can see it shining
Even beyond a thousand walls, across a million blades of grass
My beautiful star has risen from its sleep of crystal
-
And I must find it.
Leave this vast nest of old stone and wind-stirred leaves
Of endless starlight and washing waves of imagination.
Turn my path
To the world of artificial light, upon the most jagged horizon.
-
Wait yet, I shall arrive for you.

Other things that have happened

Location: Old laptop
Mood, Just did: Same as just now

What else happened other than Kris winning American Idol season 8?

We did our MEP practicals. 1st instrument: Ooookay. Considering that I hate Bach and that I had just finished learning my piece before the exam, I did well. No mistakes, which I find pleases me a great deal.

2nd instrument: man, all I can say is: disappoited. I really thought we'd do well! We could play it really, really well--I'm not being arrogant here. It sounded and felt really good, just right. And we were fine...until the page was turned wrongly, and I couldn't play from memory. So...we broke down and had to play it again.

THEN my phone rang. Oh man, when my ringtone started playing, my brain overheated with thoughts like "Oh crapppp I SHOULD HAVE FOLLOWED THE SCHOOL RULES AND TURNED IT OFF--LOOK WHAT IT'S DONE NOW" flying around in my head. Blarrh.

Anyway what's done is done. Predictions: 1st instrument, 44/50; 2nd instrument, 40/50

Okay. Open House today. Let me summarise it: Fire-writing, cheerleaders, badly-prepared "museum guide", algin, concentrated sulphuric acid, crystal gardens, starvation, forgotten retainer boxes and shrinking plastic. Yay, what a festive mood.

Fell asleep for half of church this evening. Managed to catch the back half. Watched the results show again. Enjoyed the group numbers very much.

That's my wonderful recap of the week. Yay.

Quote of the week: "Sir Stamford Raffles, Mr. Lim, and a chicken-shaped cactus. What happens?" ~ 100-question meme

No NOOOOOOO HOW COULD THIS HAPPEN?!?!?

Location: Old laptop at home
Mood: Lost? Disappointed?
Just did: Bathed

Again: HOW?!?!?!?!? How did Kris win???

My top three were ALL in the top four!!! And the one I didn't like just had to win!

He's boring, common and too humble. Bleaghhh. How did he win? How could you, America?

Adam deserved it. And the only redeeming thing about Kris' win is that he acknowledged Adam's deservance. He's the reason I actually bothered to continue watching this season--him and Allison. This stinks. Kris doesn't deserve it.

WAAAHHH

I'm gonna go listen to Mad World again.

*has a fit* HOW COULD ADAM BE IN THE BOTTOM 3
%&#&**&*
But on the bright side (and I'm very happy for this), Allison and Danny topped the week! And Matt (yes, MATT haha) went home. At last. Kris must go next. Then my top three will be THE top three. Yay.

Just did: Random improvisations on the piano

Oh goodness, my last post was ALSO before MEP? Why do I find that amusing?

I heard a familiar piece of music on the radio today! But I just couldn't place it. WHAT WAS IT?!! I'm dying from not knowing! Hm, let me go re-listen to all the music on emusic.

Mmhm, I just started my new novel. It's in a NOTEBOOK! And it's really neat compared to my other ones. Ah well. Just beginning; on page 5 right now.

I think I wanna surf randomly now. There's about 20 minutes until my father comes to fetch me. I just read his tribute to a friend who just died. I have to say it was really sad and well-written...hm.

So...I shall leave again. MEP is fun. The duet is going well. :D

Just did: practiced or piano duet

Yupyup we have to do a piano duet for our practical exam! I'm not new to it; my sis used to learn duet pieces with me, but she wasn't too cooperative. And I always got the harder part. Haha. Now she's stopped learning the piano, though.

So I revisit duets this year (and next, if I continue MEP). I will be playing Ballet, number 4 from Petit Suite by Debussy with Yan Ping. Aaaaaaaah it's NEXT MONTH and I haven't even showed it to my piano teacher yet!!!!!!!!! I am going to die.

Duets are fun! Coordinating with your partner is both the most fun and the most frustrating thing about it. Funny that this is true of so many things, hm? The most fun thing is also the hardest/frustrating.

Hahaha now for a short rant.

Rant no. 1
Why is Sobriquet Nightmare such a nitpicker, with impossibly high taste?!?! I can never please that guy. The closest I ever came was with this long piece of crap called Shadow of the Pendulum. And even then, he complained about the names of my characters (which I would complain about too, actually)!

Someday, I will write a piece of writing that will please that person. But I hope I will do it inadvertently.

Rant no. 2
WHY oh why did the school suddenly block FanFiction.net?!?!?!?! It's not fair. NOT FAIR! Now I have to post at home. AND I CAN ONLY DO THAT ON WEEKENDS NOOOOOOOO

That felt good. Ahhhhh. Time to work on my newest fanfic now. I'm putting a lot of heart into this one. Bye!

Oh the HORROR

Just did: Typed Of the Dragon, of the Stars

The mood says it all. I just lost two subchapters of my story, because my MP3 Player-thumbdrive crashed, and I didn't back it up enough. Thankfully, I managed to save most of it. But TWO SUBCHAPTERS is about 6 days of work. 12 hours in total. Oh man.

Well, I've managed to type a lot of it back. I feel so...ah, GRARR that I let such a thing happen. Had to redo the emotional chapter all over again, and it isn't easy remembering those emotion descriptions. Those come to you at that moment in time, you know. It's very hard to do it right the second time round.

Enough whining. I don't have much else to say. I've got to sleep now, so I sign off here.

Adam Lambert Danny Gokey Allison Iraheta FTW! They'll be the top three. Anoop is good, but his previous performance was sorta off. Don't care about all the rest, really.

Haha yeah I watch AI :D

I love YME

Just did: Downloaded from emusic.com

YEAHH! I think this year is gonna be loads better than last year. I mean, YME ROX! All we have to do is write Chinese pop songs, 2 per pair. The only hard part will be the lyrics, but I think it's possible to do it, even with my ultra-low proficiency...

We're having lessons at Lee Wei Song School of Music; went there yesterday. Know what? My mother was thinking of getting me to join it last year. But turns out I had to anyway :D And I'm happy. These people are the top CPop composers in Singapore, man!

It's just too bad I have so little background, compared to the other four. I hardly listen to CPop, but I hope I can manage. First lesson was like a simplified MEP lesson, but with more generic terms that don't take expertise in theory to understand.

YAY I've already got a few ideas for songs! I think I'll go write them down, and set English lyrics to one or two, maybe :D I can't wait for next week's lesson!

Today was Good Friday. The service in church was 2 hours long...hard to pay attention during the super-long prayer. But I got through it, heh. It was quite interesting; met some of the more interesting personalities in the church...

Oh yes, I just created the 100 question meme! AF and HT did it, and I LOVED their responses :D They really have a way of making everything so FUNNY!! And best thing is, it's one hundred questions long :)

In fact, it looked so fun that I started doing it myself! I'm at question 75 right now. Oof, Shakespeare had to eat Mona Lisa (the painting) somewhere in there...

I think I will be going now. Got more music to download :D

Haha, for those I haven't told, Nic (actually Nicole) is a friend I made *gasp* online, on FanFiction.net! We're like the only two female writers there. Met her thrice, so (for those of you who are super paranoid) she can be trusted. Of course, there's always those paranoid people around you who would discourage this sort of stuff...but I don't care la.

Yup, anyway, I got this wonderful personality quiz from her!

http://www.quizbox.com/personality/test82.aspx

It's interestingly accurate...so this is what it says:

Your view on yourself:

You are intelligent, honest and sweet. You are friendly to everybody and don't like conflict. Because you're so cheerful and fun people are naturally attracted to you and like to talk to you.

Comment: Well...sweet, I dunno. But I guess I am cheerful, as long as I've had enough sleep the day before.

The type of girlfriend/boyfriend you are looking for:

You are not looking merely for a girl/boyfriend - you are looking for your life partner. Perhaps you should be more open-minded about who you spend time with. The person you are looking for might hide their charm under their exterior.

Comment: Uh...LOL? I don't know. Will keep this in mind, though, if ever necessary...

Your readiness to commit to a relationship:

You are ready to commit as soon as you meet the right person. And you believe you will pretty much know as soon as you might that person.

Comments: Well. Really? Okay, that makes things easy...LOL...

The seriousness of your love:

You are very serious about relationships and aren't interested in wasting time with people you don't really like. If you meet the right person, you will fall deeply and beautifully in love.

Comments: Haha. Hahaha. Mirrors what the previous one said...

Your views on education:

Education is very important in life. You want to study hard and learn as much as you can.

Comments: No! Weird...I don't really care much about education...

The right job for you:

You have plenty of dream jobs but have little chance of doing any of them if you don't focus on something in particular. You need to choose something and go for it to be happy and achieve success.

Comments: True, true. Many dream jobs.

How do you view success:

You are confident that you will be successful in your chosen career and nothing will stop you from trying.

Comments: Yeah...I guess so. But yet again, I'm not really that confident...

What are you most afraid of:

You are afraid of things that you cannot control. Sometimes you show your anger to cover up how you feel.

Comments: Very true. How'd they know?!

Who is your true self:

You are full of energy and confidence. You are unpredictable, with moods changing as quickly as an ocean. You might occasionally be calm and still, but never for long.

Comments: I think this is true! Very, very interesting xD

LOL! It's pretty accurate! But man, I don't know anything about whether the love stuff is accurate, though, so...LOL.

Anyway you know, don't you find it irritating when they play nice music on the radio, and don't tell you the title? It happens a lot on Symphony 92.4FM. Well, I once heard a very nice piece of music on the radio, and I recorded it with my handphone. Trouble is, the sound quality is horrible, and I won't ever know anything about the piece other than the music itself...

yeah. It's happened about 3 other times, with three other pieces of music. HEARTBREAK

(I love music that much)

And so one day I was looking through emusic's collection--my father's birthday present was 50 downloads :D I was vewy happy and went to search all my fave composers (Debussy, Ravel, Turina, Piazzolla etc.), and began downloading their music like (almost) crazy.

And I actually found MY PIECE OF MUSIC! The one I handphone-recorded from the radio. It was purely coincidental; I didn't even intend to find it.I actually downloaded it without knowing how it sounded. BUT I FOUND IT AT LAST, AND I WAS SO HAPPYYYY!!!

It is Danzas Fantasticas: Orgia by Joaquin Turina. happiness again :D:D

*impromptu celebration*

Well, yeah. I AM SOO HAPPY, I repeat. Now I've gotta find "nice violin, cello and piano trio" and "chinese-like classical music". Those are the names we gave. Sooo original, don't you think?

Yeah, okay. I think I should be going now; mother coming to fetch me in 15 minutes. bye!

Heh, Of the Dragon, of the Stars is now 111 pages long :D:D Going well! It's less than half done.

It's RS now. I'm supposed to be in YME, so there's practically nothing to do right now. Hm, I shall take this time to type Of the Dragon, of the Stars. WAAIIT then why am I blogging?

Okay, I will be going now. BB!

Okay, I rank him behind Debussy and Ravel. But his music is AMAZING!!!

That is the reason. I am LEVEL THIRTY-EIGHT!!!! *happiness*

And I LOVE MAGATIAAAAA

It's a new place in MapleStory, the Town of Alchemy, where two feuding families reside. I'm not going to tell a super long story here, but let's just say that one family uses alchemy to create life (in test tubes, beakers and flasks), while the other uses it to give life to robots. A spooky place with an extremely chilling (and COOL) storyline.

And if the idea of feuding families sounds familiar, wait till you hear that there IS a pair of lovers named Romeo and Juliet in there, one from each family. It's all part of the Party Quest.

Yeah, MapleStory has a habit of including characters from well-known tales in the game. So don't scream "copyrighted!" right away when you hear me say some familiar names from Maple.

I don't have much else to say. Bye!

FOUNDERS' DAYYY

Location: Desktop
Mood: Worried

Delia's gonna get me off the computer any moment now. So I'm gonna type like a bullet train.

Founders' Day: the coolest day in the RGS calendar. This year, it was special. It was at night!! Yesterday.

After school, I went with HT to Bishan Library and FINALLY found my wonderful Deltora Shadowlands! Read book 2: The Isle of Illusion. It's still as cool as ever :D:D:D

Well, yup. Then it was piano lesson, in Toa Payoh. It was good. No scolding. I hate Bach's Fugues. Argh.

And then, dinner at Mac's, sponsored by my mother, then back to school again! This year's show was dazzling. What else do you expect of a night show? There were lasers, strobe lights, glowing outfits and masks (coughcough strings ensemble coughcough), glittery glitzy costumes, and all sorts of dances :D

One complaint I do have is for the skit. The storyline was just plain cliched. Our school's proud history. Why couldn't they give it some spice? I mean...they did, but what I mean is to the telling of the story itself. Maybe from a modern-day RGS pupil's point of view, instead of from a Victorian woman's. That'd be way cooler.

Otherwise, wonderful show, my friends! I think all the rehearsing paid off. Great job, performers, I salute thee.

Funniest moment: when the whole school forgot the words of "Pass it On" verse 2, and all sang "nananananana" together...WONDERFUL effect.

OR when we started the Birthday Song too late and ended up having to rush (and also holding the "S" in "RGS" and going out of sync with the music...that was LOLZ)

And what better way to end a school event than with cheers (which always ends with "Unite", which we always end up cheering at twice the speed we started with)?

Eventful day. Went home at ten-something, and got to type Epic Thing.

Ah, our Learning Journeys week is next week. I DUN WANNA GO TO YOG LEARNING CENTRE...

Starting to feel real guilty for staying on the computer so long. Will get off...NOW!!!

I had a disturbing dream last night.

Location: Desktop at home
Mood: "Ahhh" sort of mood

Yup. I still feel completely freaked out. I was in this dark city that I often go to in my dreams. Looked like a part of Malaysia. Then I met my friends there, and it was after getting our Chinese results, I think. We were sitting down, and one of my friends was crying about failing her paper. Then...stuff happened. Non-violence. I really really don't want to recount in full. And I'm not naming people.

Urgh...with that off my mind, I shall now ramble! Whee, I think Bakugan Battle Brawlers is actually quite nice! And so's Storm Hawks. Have I mentioned this before? It's gonna show in half an hour's time.

Anyway, I'm writing another story right now. Typing, actually. So bye for now.

24.2.09

BIG sigh.

Yay. I just ranked third for a fanfic contest. I feel so disappointed in myself. Couldn't sleep, couldn't concentrate, couldn't stop feeling completely horrible and fed-up with myself.

Really, I was so hoping that I could at least rank second, or score over 90/100. Know what? I scored 89, and I ranked third. BIG SIGH.

Anyway, let us all just ignore my disappointment and all, okay?

Hmhm, a few things. First, I just started reading Fullmetal Alchemist, as recommended by a whole load of people. Guess what? It's really really REALLY good! I can't wait to borrow book 3 from my god-god-mortal!!

Yup, and I also started watching D. Grayman, which i was already catching bits of before this. But I decided to start watching it seriously, since Avatar just ended (waaaah), and I decided that it was good. Now a regular watcher.

Oh and Avatar was great. GREAT. Seriously. I can't describe it in words, which is about all I can say about it.

Hm, gotta go already. Sorry for the short post.
