Hungry and in need of a toilet...

Location: 101 classroom computer
Mood: Hungry (again)
Just did: Random improvisations on the piano

Oh goodness, my last post was ALSO before MEP? Why do I find that amusing?

I heard a familiar piece of music on the radio today! But I just couldn't place it. WHAT WAS IT?!! I'm dying from not knowing! Hm, let me go re-listen to all the music on emusic.

Mmhm, I just started my new novel. It's in a NOTEBOOK! And it's really neat compared to my other ones. Ah well. Just beginning; on page 5 right now.

I think I wanna surf randomly now. There's about 20 minutes until my father comes to fetch me. I just read his tribute to a friend who just died. I have to say it was really sad and well-written...hm.

So...I shall leave again. MEP is fun. The duet is going well. :D

Random post after MEP

Just did: practiced or piano duet

Yupyup we have to do a piano duet for our practical exam! I'm not new to it; my sis used to learn duet pieces with me, but she wasn't too cooperative. And I always got the harder part. Haha. Now she's stopped learning the piano, though.

So I revisit duets this year (and next, if I continue MEP). I will be playing Ballet, number 4 from Petit Suite by Debussy with Yan Ping. Aaaaaaaah it's NEXT MONTH and I haven't even showed it to my piano teacher yet!!!!!!!!! I am going to die.

Duets are fun! Coordinating with your partner is both the most fun and the most frustrating thing about it. Funny that this is true of so many things, hm? The most fun thing is also the hardest/frustrating.

Hahaha now for a short rant.

Rant no. 1
Why is Sobriquet Nightmare such a nitpicker, with impossibly high taste?!?! I can never please that guy. The closest I ever came was with this long piece of crap called Shadow of the Pendulum. And even then, he complained about the names of my characters (which I would complain about too, actually)!

Someday, I will write a piece of writing that will please that person. But I hope I will do it inadvertently.

Rant no. 2
WHY oh why did the school suddenly block FanFiction.net?!?!?!?! It's not fair. NOT FAIR! Now I have to post at home. AND I CAN ONLY DO THAT ON WEEKENDS NOOOOOOOO

That felt good. Ahhhhh. Time to work on my newest fanfic now. I'm putting a lot of heart into this one. Bye!

Oh the HORROR

Location: Desktop at home
Mood: The mood you feel when you've worked hard on something and it's all wasted
Just did: Typed Of the Dragon, of the Stars

The mood says it all. I just lost two subchapters of my story, because my MP3 Player-thumbdrive crashed, and I didn't back it up enough. Thankfully, I managed to save most of it. But TWO SUBCHAPTERS is about 6 days of work. 12 hours in total. Oh man.

Well, I've managed to type a lot of it back. I feel so...ah, GRARR that I let such a thing happen. Had to redo the emotional chapter all over again, and it isn't easy remembering those emotion descriptions. Those come to you at that moment in time, you know. It's very hard to do it right the second time round.

Enough whining. I don't have much else to say. I've got to sleep now, so I sign off here.

Hahaha

Adam Lambert Danny Gokey Allison Iraheta FTW! They'll be the top three. Anoop is good, but his previous performance was sorta off. Don't care about all the rest, really.

Haha yeah I watch AI :D

I love YME

Location: New laptop, upstairs
Mood: Stomach-ache-y
Just did: Downloaded from emusic.com

YEAHH! I think this year is gonna be loads better than last year. I mean, YME ROX! All we have to do is write Chinese pop songs, 2 per pair. The only hard part will be the lyrics, but I think it's possible to do it, even with my ultra-low proficiency...

We're having lessons at Lee Wei Song School of Music; went there yesterday. Know what? My mother was thinking of getting me to join it last year. But turns out I had to anyway :D And I'm happy. These people are the top CPop composers in Singapore, man!

It's just too bad I have so little background, compared to the other four. I hardly listen to CPop, but I hope I can manage. First lesson was like a simplified MEP lesson, but with more generic terms that don't take expertise in theory to understand.

YAY I've already got a few ideas for songs! I think I'll go write them down, and set English lyrics to one or two, maybe :D I can't wait for next week's lesson!

Today was Good Friday. The service in church was 2 hours long...hard to pay attention during the super-long prayer. But I got through it, heh. It was quite interesting; met some of the more interesting personalities in the church...

Oh yes, I just created the 100 question meme! AF and HT did it, and I LOVED their responses :D They really have a way of making everything so FUNNY!! And best thing is, it's one hundred questions long :)

In fact, it looked so fun that I started doing it myself! I'm at question 75 right now. Oof, Shakespeare had to eat Mona Lisa (the painting) somewhere in there...

I think I will be going now. Got more music to download :D

Mood: Ache-y

Haha, for those I haven't told, Nic (actually Nicole) is a friend I made *gasp* online, on FanFiction.net! We're like the only two female writers there. Met her thrice, so (for those of you who are super paranoid) she can be trusted. Of course, there's always those paranoid people around you who would discourage this sort of stuff...but I don't care la.

Yup, anyway, I got this wonderful personality quiz from her!

http://www.quizbox.com/personality/test82.aspx

It's interestingly accurate...so this is what it says:

Your view on yourself:

You are intelligent, honest and sweet. You are friendly to everybody and don't like conflict. Because you're so cheerful and fun people are naturally attracted to you and like to talk to you.

Comment: Well...sweet, I dunno. But I guess I am cheerful, as long as I've had enough sleep the day before.

The type of girlfriend/boyfriend you are looking for:

You are not looking merely for a girl/boyfriend - you are looking for your life partner. Perhaps you should be more open-minded about who you spend time with. The person you are looking for might hide their charm under their exterior.

Comment: Uh...LOL? I don't know. Will keep this in mind, though, if ever necessary...

Your readiness to commit to a relationship:

You are ready to commit as soon as you meet the right person. And you believe you will pretty much know as soon as you might that person.

Comments: Well. Really? Okay, that makes things easy...LOL...

The seriousness of your love:

You are very serious about relationships and aren't interested in wasting time with people you don't really like. If you meet the right person, you will fall deeply and beautifully in love.

Comments: Haha. Hahaha. Mirrors what the previous one said...

Your views on education:

Education is very important in life. You want to study hard and learn as much as you can.

Comments: No! Weird...I don't really care much about education...

The right job for you:

You have plenty of dream jobs but have little chance of doing any of them if you don't focus on something in particular. You need to choose something and go for it to be happy and achieve success.

Comments: True, true. Many dream jobs.

How do you view success:

You are confident that you will be successful in your chosen career and nothing will stop you from trying.

Comments: Yeah...I guess so. But yet again, I'm not really that confident...

What are you most afraid of:

You are afraid of things that you cannot control. Sometimes you show your anger to cover up how you feel.

Comments: Very true. How'd they know?!

Who is your true self:

You are full of energy and confidence. You are unpredictable, with moods changing as quickly as an ocean. You might occasionally be calm and still, but never for long.

Comments: I think this is true! Very, very interesting xD

LOL! It's pretty accurate! But man, I don't know anything about whether the love stuff is accurate, though, so...LOL.

Anyway you know, don't you find it irritating when they play nice music on the radio, and don't tell you the title? It happens a lot on Symphony 92.4FM. Well, I once heard a very nice piece of music on the radio, and I recorded it with my handphone. Trouble is, the sound quality is horrible, and I won't ever know anything about the piece other than the music itself...

yeah. It's happened about 3 other times, with three other pieces of music. HEARTBREAK

(I love music that much)

And so one day I was looking through emusic's collection--my father's birthday present was 50 downloads :D I was vewy happy and went to search all my fave composers (Debussy, Ravel, Turina, Piazzolla etc.), and began downloading their music like (almost) crazy.

And I actually found MY PIECE OF MUSIC! The one I handphone-recorded from the radio. It was purely coincidental; I didn't even intend to find it.I actually downloaded it without knowing how it sounded. BUT I FOUND IT AT LAST, AND I WAS SO HAPPYYYY!!!

It is Danzas Fantasticas: Orgia by Joaquin Turina. happiness again :D:D

*impromptu celebration*

Well, yeah. I AM SOO HAPPY, I repeat. Now I've gotta find "nice violin, cello and piano trio" and "chinese-like classical music". Those are the names we gave. Sooo original, don't you think?

Yeah, okay. I think I should be going now; mother coming to fetch me in 15 minutes. bye!

Hm...is this legal? You can't post-book, right? Prefects, don't book me if this is illegal (blogging in school) because you didn't catch me red-handed, hehheh :D

Heh, Of the Dragon, of the Stars is now 111 pages long :D:D Going well! It's less than half done.

It's RS now. I'm supposed to be in YME, so there's practically nothing to do right now. Hm, I shall take this time to type Of the Dragon, of the Stars. WAAIIT then why am I blogging?

Okay, I will be going now. BB!

Okay, I rank him behind Debussy and Ravel. But his music is AMAZING!!!

It really depends on taste, though. His style is distinctively Spanish, and I LOVE IT :D:D

Yeah, that was what the whole post was about :D

LEVEL 38

Location: The usual desktop
Mood: HAPPYYYY

That is the reason. I am LEVEL THIRTY-EIGHT!!!! *happiness*

And I LOVE MAGATIAAAAA

It's a new place in MapleStory, the Town of Alchemy, where two feuding families reside. I'm not going to tell a super long story here, but let's just say that one family uses alchemy to create life (in test tubes, beakers and flasks), while the other uses it to give life to robots. A spooky place with an extremely chilling (and COOL) storyline.

And if the idea of feuding families sounds familiar, wait till you hear that there IS a pair of lovers named Romeo and Juliet in there, one from each family. It's all part of the Party Quest.

Yeah, MapleStory has a habit of including characters from well-known tales in the game. So don't scream "copyrighted!" right away when you hear me say some familiar names from Maple.

I don't have much else to say. Bye!

FOUNDERS' DAYYY

Location: Desktop
Mood: Worried

Delia's gonna get me off the computer any moment now. So I'm gonna type like a bullet train.

Founders' Day: the coolest day in the RGS calendar. This year, it was special. It was at night!! Yesterday.

After school, I went with HT to Bishan Library and FINALLY found my wonderful Deltora Shadowlands! Read book 2: The Isle of Illusion. It's still as cool as ever :D:D:D

Well, yup. Then it was piano lesson, in Toa Payoh. It was good. No scolding. I hate Bach's Fugues. Argh.

And then, dinner at Mac's, sponsored by my mother, then back to school again! This year's show was dazzling. What else do you expect of a night show? There were lasers, strobe lights, glowing outfits and masks (coughcough strings ensemble coughcough), glittery glitzy costumes, and all sorts of dances :D

One complaint I do have is for the skit. The storyline was just plain cliched. Our school's proud history. Why couldn't they give it some spice? I mean...they did, but what I mean is to the telling of the story itself. Maybe from a modern-day RGS pupil's point of view, instead of from a Victorian woman's. That'd be way cooler.

Otherwise, wonderful show, my friends! I think all the rehearsing paid off. Great job, performers, I salute thee.

Funniest moment: when the whole school forgot the words of "Pass it On" verse 2, and all sang "nananananana" together...WONDERFUL effect.

OR when we started the Birthday Song too late and ended up having to rush (and also holding the "S" in "RGS" and going out of sync with the music...that was LOLZ)

And what better way to end a school event than with cheers (which always ends with "Unite", which we always end up cheering at twice the speed we started with)?

Eventful day. Went home at ten-something, and got to type Epic Thing.

Ah, our Learning Journeys week is next week. I DUN WANNA GO TO YOG LEARNING CENTRE...

Starting to feel real guilty for staying on the computer so long. Will get off...NOW!!!

I had a disturbing dream last night.

Location: Desktop at home
Mood: "Ahhh" sort of mood

Yup. I still feel completely freaked out. I was in this dark city that I often go to in my dreams. Looked like a part of Malaysia. Then I met my friends there, and it was after getting our Chinese results, I think. We were sitting down, and one of my friends was crying about failing her paper. Then...stuff happened. Non-violence. I really really don't want to recount in full. And I'm not naming people.

Urgh...with that off my mind, I shall now ramble! Whee, I think Bakugan Battle Brawlers is actually quite nice! And so's Storm Hawks. Have I mentioned this before? It's gonna show in half an hour's time.

Anyway, I'm writing another story right now. Typing, actually. So bye for now.

24.2.09

BIG sigh.

Yay. I just ranked third for a fanfic contest. I feel so disappointed in myself. Couldn't sleep, couldn't concentrate, couldn't stop feeling completely horrible and fed-up with myself.

Really, I was so hoping that I could at least rank second, or score over 90/100. Know what? I scored 89, and I ranked third. BIG SIGH.

Anyway, let us all just ignore my disappointment and all, okay?

Hmhm, a few things. First, I just started reading Fullmetal Alchemist, as recommended by a whole load of people. Guess what? It's really really REALLY good! I can't wait to borrow book 3 from my god-god-mortal!!

Yup, and I also started watching D. Grayman, which i was already catching bits of before this. But I decided to start watching it seriously, since Avatar just ended (waaaah), and I decided that it was good. Now a regular watcher.

Oh and Avatar was great. GREAT. Seriously. I can't describe it in words, which is about all I can say about it.

Hm, gotta go already. Sorry for the short post.

Back from Malaysia!

Location: Desktop computer at home

Mood: Excited

Yay, I'm headed for Leafre in MapleStory right now!! At level 36!

Anyway, yeah. I've just come back from Malaysia, and BOY, was it tiring. We actually went to Chiang Mai before that, but it wasn't too interesting. Just a lot of shopping and buying and stuff like that.

*Checks on Maple window* STILL on the blue bird...

Like I was saying, let me summarise my holiday in 1 phrase: Pruning bamboo shoots. Yeah. We planted two bamboo trees in our backyard a year ago. When we came today, they were both 2 storeys tall, and had the proportions of cotton candy (cotton=leaves and paper stick=trunk). It was SOOO bushy it hung over into our neighbours' gardens, and WE HAD TO DO SOMETHING!

*Checks on Maple window again* Ohmygoodness I'm in LEAFREEEE!!!! It's SO NICE!!

I just walked around a bit in Leafre, which happens to be a level 90 area. SCARY. But it's got nice background music, and great scenery!

Back to my holiday. Well, we did something about it. My father chopped down most of the shoots, then I demolished the canopy with a pair of pruning scissors. I worked for 3 hours and got it down to half size!
Sidenote: Of course I'm only at Leafre to do a quest. I'm leaving right now!
Main story cont'd: My hand hurts.
Last 2 things:
1. I am officially Guzheng Diploma! Most of you people would probably know this by now. But I only got 71/100, so it...wasn't so good. But still!
2. I'm thinking of taking part in the ABRSM composition competition with Starry Journey (title pending still). It's about Grade 8 standard, with a whole load of modulations and sections. Working on it.
Hope you people are having a nice holiday! Mine wasn't too eventful...
