I'm currently doing a popularity list of MapleStory background music--and it's going very nicely. Grandmaster's Gauntlet is the most popular, and it is awesome. But I think some others are better.
Why is Water Way the least popular???
Okay, anyway--today is the official fourth last day of school! And I have $15 to last me the rest of the year :D
Netball Carnival killed my muscles. Now I can't go anywhere without them complaining D:
But at least my banner won second prize! I got three whole packets of Yupi stuff. We're sharing it at the class party tomorrow.
Speaking of which! Yes, the school year is ending! It's like a candle at its last few cm of wax. Hence the post title.
Have I ever mentioned how awesome the WALL-E soundtrack is? It IS!!!!! Especially the piece called "Eve"!!!! AWWWWW wonderful~~~

SS: 11/15. GOOD (by my standards)!
English: 32/50, a lifetime personal best (no kidding)!
MEP Harmony: 26.5/40. Oops.
MEP Ethnic: 28/30 WOOHOO
MEP History: 35.5/40 YEAHHHH
MEP Practicals: 1st piece - 42/50; 2nd piece - 45/50. (I predicted 45/50 and 43/50 respectively. Flipped around, it seems!)
Epic Thing is on page 219! And I just got my 71st review :D
I really should stop asking people to review. Being this successful is a sign that I've been trying too hard.

Yes, I changed the title of Sands of Time. Now it's called "Symphony, Synchrony: The Sands of Time". And I feel like putting my summary here, for fun :D

Back to topic. Of the Dragon, of the Stars chapter 6 complete. Yesterday. I think I just wrote my best chapter so far! I don't know, really--I just have a good feeling about it.
And 172 pages. YES. YES! I feel awesome :D Chapter 6 is the longest chapter so far. And the longest there will ever be, hopefully. I'm so happy about how far my story has come, since I began on that car trip in Penang! It's probably my most prided work so far, among all the creations of my entire lifetime :D
Okay, must get off now! Parents coming back and I must be off by then!!!

And yesss. This week. Probably the most revolutionary, beautiful, amazing week of my life. Why? Don't ask me to explain it. Everything just came together, this week. Every day was like a leaf crossing on a breeze. Just flew by into heaven, and somehow set me free from a prison I didn't even know existed.
Really good mood now--albeit sleepy. I have to break my horrible cycle of sleeping and waking up late :D
So will probably go for now. That's all, folks!

La Procesion del Rocio--the true meaning of joy. I don't know if words can actually bring out everything I felt while listening, right from the initial opening chord. Ahhhh! Well, the 25 cents I spent on it was totally worth it. I should have paid ten dollars for it.

This is like the (second) most awesome orchestral piece in the universe. It's wild, vivid, beautiful, and best of all, NEVER boring. NEVER!! And it's relatively short!

How can it be that entire worlds unravel in my eyes
At the single brush of the flute’s soliloquy on my ear
Or the glorious fanfare of the orchestra’s tutti
Or the crystal ringing echo on the cold dark keys?
How can shifting regular wavelengths of varying amplitude
Recreate the shimmering reflections in Monet’s Water Lilies
Or the rattling rifles of the Russian Revolution
Or the delicate lace dance of the swans in Swan Lake
Or the whisper of pure liquid moonlight streaming through the windows?
It will never be within my grasp, this magic they work
Twelve notes divided by frequency spaces the twelfth root of two
In measures of three, four, seven, eight simple, compound, irregular
Rearranged into a one-page etude or a thirty-minute symphony
A soli, a diminished seventh in the upper registers
Passionate, fantastical, sparkling, blazing

SIGH my sisters are now listening to this piece of BLAH called Poker Face. I must say that the video is cool (freakily cool), but the song is...ah. Like all pop songs. Catchy and weird and too techno for my liking.
Impressionist and early twentieth century is still my cup of tea. And the really good J-pop songs that make good use of the orchestra.
Okay, like I said. I was posting because this blog looks dead. So there. Wait for the next one. BYE!
